Buttons

Here we have what Ian Carns and I consider our “aloha piece”. In this collage we honor the the late Buttons Kaluhiokalani the man who’s friendly smile and who’s gentle nature most embodied the “Aloha Spirit”. Buttons is pictured surfing Haleiwa with Israel Kamakawino’ole singing and playing “Somewhere over the Rainbow” on his ukulele above. The famous Royal Hawaiian hotel and Diamond head are featured on the bottom right.
